Harvinder Singh wins India’s first Paralympic gold in archery — Paris 2024

Harvinder Singh of India won the men’s individual recurve open final at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on 4 September 2024, defeating Poland’s Łukasz Ciszek by six sets to nil. International and Indian outlets widely reported the result as India’s first Paralympic gold medal in archery, building on his earlier bronze in the same discipline at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics (contested in 2021).

The final underscored Singh’s consistency under pressure on the international stage. Subsequent profiles in the mainstream press have also traced his academic work alongside his athletic career.
