Tokyo Paralympics: Harvinder Singh earns India’s first archery medal

On 3 September 2021, Harvinder Singh won bronze in the men’s individual recurve open at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games (held in 2021). Olympic-channel and wire services reported the outcome as India’s first-ever Paralympic medal in archery. Singh prevailed over South Korea’s Kim Min-su 6–5 in a shoot-off following a tied regulation count in the bronze match.
