On 4 August 2023 in Berlin, the Indian women’s compound team of Parneet Kaur, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Aditi Swami defeated Mexico 235–229 to win the World Archery Championships title. Multiple international agencies described the outcome as India’s first gold in the women’s team compound event at that championship.
Parneet Kaur (Mansa, Punjab) was consistently identified in wire and domestic coverage as a member of the gold-medal trio.
